Exceptional A Level Results - Summer 2018
Exceptional A-level results have been celebrated at Twyford CE High School in the second year of major change within the national examination system.
44% of the grades achieved at the school were A or A*, 74% A*-B and 91% A*-C.
Overall the school gained an ‘APLS 2’ grading which is the national measure of 6th Form success and places the school in the top 10% of 6th Forms for both progress and achievement.
One third of students at the school were able to boast at least one of the coveted A* grades in exams which have become significantly harder over the past 2 years and 35 students gained 2 A*s the majority of these gaining A’s in their remaining subjects.
The outstanding A-level results have enabled students to secure excellent university courses. 8 of the year group have achieved places to read Medicine and 10 students have so far have confirmed Oxbridge offers with a further 6 still awaiting news.

They are a real testimony to the hard work of teachers and students and we are proud that our sixth formers are moving on to such a very wide range of stimulating Higher Education courses in the most competitive universities.’
