Mock Election Results

Years 7-10, Year 12 pupils and staff took part in the greatly anticipated Twyford Mock Election on Thursday 12th December.

Each form group and the staff body were a constituency. In assemblies, pupils were introduced to the party manifestos on the issues of Brexit, the NHS, Education, the Economy and the Environment and then discussed these issues in tutor time. It was fantastic to see the eagerness of pupils to vote and hear about all the political discussions taking place!

The votes were counted and we had a resounding win for the Labour party, with 30 of the available 39 constituencies going red! The other nine seats went either to the Green party or Liberal Democrats.
